EM1860A wrist-worn proximity alarm is a new, safe, practical, and convenient high-voltage alarm device designed for workers performing live-line operations. During live-line work, the safety distance between the operator and live conductors must not be less than the requirements specified in relevant work procedures. The alarm has no power button. Once worn by the worker, the device detects the electric field in the air. When approaching high-voltage live parts, based on the safety distance corresponding to the voltage level, the alarm automatically triggers an audible and visual alert if the detected electric field exceeds the threshold, reminding electrical workers to stay safe and preventing high-voltage electric shock accidents.
EM1860 series of wrist-worn live-line detectors is available in two models: a high-voltage detector (for voltages above 1 kV) and a low-voltage detector (for voltages below 1 kV). Utilizing non-contact sensing and low-power technology, these devices are energy-efficient and durable, with a standby time of up to 12 months. The detectors feature a self-test function to ensure the safety of workers performing live-line operations. They are widely used in live-line work environments across the power, railway, and industrial sectors.
